The Multiple Sclerosis Diet Plan and Cookbook: 101 Easy Anti-Inflammatory Recipes
I am so excited to share the news, that in less than 2 months, I will have my very first book in print! This book is not just a diet plan and cookbook, I have also included advice and tips that promote an overall healthy, anti-inflammatory lifestyle. While nutrition plays a key role in our overall health, I also discuss other important lifestyle factors such as exercise, relationships and emotional health. I do reference some scientific evidence, but this book is for anyone, science backgrounds or not.
I have taken into consideration that everyone reading this book will have varied lifestyles, physical abilities and family dynamics. The recipes included are family friendly, and include a variety of no-cook meals, quick cooking meals and make ahead slow cooker meals. The foods included support overall wellness and are beneficial for anyone looking to make some changes in their lifestyle and incorporate more phytonutrient rich foods in their life and the life of friends and family. While some of the foods included may be new to you, I tried to include easy to find ingredients that are not too expensive.
Diet manipulation in Multiple Sclerosis was the focus of my thesis when I was working on my Masters Degree in Nutrition. I have an interest in how diet can modulate the immune system, promote cognitive health and impact quality of life. As a registerd dietitian nutritionist, I have been working with people to help manage weight loss, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, cognitive decline, Multiple Sclerosis and other autoimmune conditions. This book will serve as another tool that can promote lifestyle and behavior change.
The book is available on Amazon for pre-sale right now, and will be in print on December 17th. I am beyond excited to see the book in print, and hear feedback from readers. If you choose to read my book, I hope you find it helpful and the recipes enjoyable.
